Fifteen Puget Sound-area churches support a Christian Science Reading Room in the heart of downtown Seattle. Here you’ll find information about Christian Science and its discoverer, Mary Baker Eddy—including all of her writings, a variety of Bibles and Bible research materials, as well as other books and magazines in various languages, children’s products, music CDs, and The Christian Science Monitor. Institutional Work

Christian Scientists have been serving as “religious workers” in Washington state institutions and care facilities for decades. That means they support residents of local jails, state prisons, mental institutions, juvenile homes and care facilities through a variety of activities, including:

  • meeting one-on-one with residents or inmates
  • conducting Sunday Christian Science services
  • conducting Sunday School classes
  • supporting branch church-sponsored lectures

Sunrise Haven: CS Nursing Service

Sunrise Haven is a non-profit Christian Science nursing service, located in Washington State’s spectacular Puget Sound region. We serve as a resource to our community for any need related to Christian Science nursing care. We do not provide medical care or employ medical staff, but instead support quick and whole healing through the study and practice of Christian Science.

The Principle Foundation

The Foundation helps individual Christian Scientists who are sincere in their expectation of healing through the practice of Christian Science by:

  • Providing appropriate financial support that stabilizes the immediate need
  • Evaluating an individual’s own resources and the steps they need to take in order to promote individual financial responsibility
  • Encouraging individuals to awaken thought from limited beliefs to the spiritual facts regarding any situation
  • Providing a platform for giving which strengthens a sense of church community
