Fifteen Puget Sound-area churches support a Christian Science Reading Room in the heart of downtown Seattle. Location/Contact: Hours: Christian Scientists have been serving as “religious workers” in Washington state institutions and care facilities for decades. That means they support residents of local jails, state prisons, mental institutions, juvenile homes and care facilities through a variety of activities, including: Sunrise Haven is a non-profit Christian Science nursing service, located in Washington State’s spectacular Puget Sound region. We serve as a resource to our community for any need related to Christian Science nursing care. We do not provide medical care or employ medical staff, but instead support quick and whole healing through the study and practice of Christian Science. Asher Houses are located in eight cities around the country, and each one offers an inviting, comfortable, safe, home-like base for students while they pursue their academic and career goals. We provide loans, scholarships and grants for the education of Christian Scientists around the world. We encourage each of our recipients to “pass the blessing forward” by contributing to the Christian Science Movement, their communities and the world.
